EFMARC is having another tech class! The first class we did a couple years ago was a big success. So, we are doing it again this year. Although this year we will do things a bit different. Instead of cramming everything into a couple days during in-person classes, we will have a single intro class at the Galway Library, and then online Zoom calls for the rest. We will take a week to discuss all of the topics found in the ARRL Technician Class manual which can be purchased at the ARRL store or on Amazon (details below). The class will be free of charge. Donations to the club will be accepted if you so desire, however they are not required.
This will allow a “self-study” method with mentoring and Q&A sessions. We feel this will allow the students time to read sections of the book and then ask questions of subject matter experts to gain the knowledge to pass the exam. We will review sections of the book during each Zoom class.
We are still ironing out the details and more information is coming soon. We plan on beginning at 12:00pm on Feb. 1st, 2025.
